“I get up in the morning, torture a typewriter until it screams, then stop.” -Clarence Budington Kelland
Okay, perhaps Kelland is exaggerating slightly when he describes the life of a writer. But when your passion is writing, like mine is, the keyboard does take quite a bit of wear and tear – that’s because the love of words and helping to shape them into messages, stories, information, and dialogue are what drive me to write everyday.
During my 24 year career as a writer, I’ve put words together to make promotional copy, radio scripts, speeches, annual report copy, press releases, magazine articles, blog posts, trade articles, endorsements, resumes, and fundraising. I’ve written about everything from ski conditions to perfume, circuit breakers to supply chain financing, sensors to insurance.
I also write fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books. I teach university students how to write in the business world as well as how to become professional freelance writers.
I would welcome the opportunity to write for you, or to help you write the book you’ve also wanted to publish, or coach you on a writing project or career. Please contact me at 203.314.9358 or AnneWitkavitch@comcast.net.
